CSA Recreational Soccer Program (U6 - HS age groups) is geared towards introducing the game of soccer and helping players develop their skills in a safe and fun environment. The program is run by Adult Volunteer Coaches and Assistant Coaches.
U5/U6 is a combined coed division in the Fall (Futures Program). In the spring, the U5 & U6 division will be split up. U5 (Futures Program) will be all coed only, U6 will have a Girls & Coed division.
Please see FUTURES PROGRAM (U5 age group) for more information.
***CSA FALL Recreational Program does not support age groups U9 - HS (birth years 2015 - 2005). CCPR runs the Fall program for those age groups.
Players will meet for practice(s) during the week (evenings) based on availability of coaches and assistants. You will be contacted by your player's coach or a league representative at least a week prior to the regular season beginning with your player's practice location/day(s)/time. Coaches will inform team of game schedule once released. Games are usually held on Saturdays and/or Sunday afternoons (weather permitting).
Groups/Teams are formed North (Dunkirk Area), Central (Prince Frederick Area), and South (Lusby Area) depending on availability of fields, coaches, and registered players.
Typically, six to ten weeks (weather permitting). Fall Program begins in mid/late August and ends by the beginning of November. Spring Program begins in mid March and ends the beginning of June. Only the spring season is followed by the Recreational "Calvert Cup" tournament.
