Recreation Program

CALVERT SOCCER ASSOCIATION

  • What

CSA Spring Recreational Soccer Program (U6-U15+/HS age groups) is geared towards introducing the game of soccer and helping players develop their skills in a safe and fun environment. The program is run by Adult Volunteer Coaches and Assistant Coaches.

Are you interested in coaching? Some of the benefits include a free player registration. More information may be found on the coaching information page.

*IMPORTANT: In order to receive a registration credit, you must first submit your coaching license to recadoc@calvertsoccer.org. You will then receive a code to redeem during your player's registration. Do not register your player before receiving a code; the credit is not retroactive.

  • When

Players will meet for practice(s) during the week based on availability of coaches and assistants. You will be contacted by your player's coach or a league representative at least a week prior to the regular season beginning with your player's practice location/day(s)/time. Coaches will inform team of game schedule once released. Games are usually held on Saturdays and/or Sunday afternoons (weather permitting).

  • Where

Groups/Teams are formed North (Dunkirk Area), Central (Prince Frederick Area), and South (Lusby Area) depending on availability of fields, coaches, and registered players. *Region/Areas and Divisions could be combined due to low registration numbers.

  • How Often

Typically, eight to twelve weeks (weather permitting). 1-2 practices in the evening during the week. 1-2 games on Saturday and/or Sunday. Spring program begins in mid March and concludes by mid June. The spring season is followed by the Recreational "Calvert Cup" tournament.

  • What you need to bring

At practices, the player will need to wear athletic attire, shin guards, athletic footwear (cleats are not required but strongly encouraged), soccer ball, and plenty of water. A recreational uniform kit (mandatory), shin guards, and athletic footwear (cleats are not required but strongly encouraged) are needed for all games. All previous versions of our yellow and black jerseys are acceptable. If you do not already have a CSA Rec Uniform kit, you can order one here: Calvert Association Soccer - RECREATIONAL MATCH KIT - Capelli Sport.  The CSA Rec Uniform kit consists of a yellow jersey, black jersey, shorts, and socks. The uniform kit is not included as part of the registration fees.
