Recreational Coaching
- One free player registration into a recreational team, futures, or academy soccer program with the completion of the MSYSA Grassroots courses ($25+ per course) for the age group in which you are volunteered to coach. The courses may be completed in person or online.
- Required coaching gear and coaching attire (shirt) provided by CSA
- Medical, dental, and liability insurance provided through the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association at no cost.
- Mentoring and curriculum to follow for coaching support, including USSF-recommended coaching techniques by age group.
- Free or discounted attendance to the United States Soccer Coaches convention.
IMPORTANT: In order to receive a registration credit, you must first submit your coaching license to recadoc@calvertsoccer.org. You will then receive a code to redeem during your player's registration. Do not register your player before receiving a code; the credit is not retroactive.
Travel Coaching
We recognize that we could not be the club we are without our coaching staff. As a community-based organization, we are committed to providing a fun, exciting, competitive, quality program for all our travel players, parents and extended families.
We currently offer many levels of opportunity to experienced coaches and we are looking to grow our coaching staff for this upcoming 2024-2025 seasonal year. Apply Today!
Requirements to Apply:
- Playing or Coaching Experience
- Enthusiasm and Energy for the Sport and Players
- Ability to Coach/Lead Positively
- MSYSA Grassroots Coaching Education (7v7 and/or 11v11)
- Pass a background check

Want to further your education in Soccer Coaching?
Prerequisites - If you do not already have a log in under U.S. Soccer's DCC, you will need to create one. For all Grassroots courses, candidates must be at least 16 years old and have completed U.S. Soccer's Introduction to Grassroots Coaching module (online).
For the National D Course, you will need to have completed:
- USSF E & F, if you only have USSF F then you will also need to attend the Grassroots 11v11 (in-person) and one other Grassroots course (in-person).
OR
- Two in-person Grassroots courses (one must be 11v11 and other can be 9v9, 7v7, or 4v4) and one online Grassroots course (11v11, 9v9, 7v7, or 4v4)
