Recreational Coaching

At CSA, we recognize that we couldn’t be the team we are without our coaching staff. Because we appreciate each coach’s commitment to our youth players, we’re excited to offer coaching incentives.

Some of the great benefits of becoming a CSA Volunteer Recreational Coach include:
  • One free player registration into a recreational team, Futures, or Rec Plus soccer program with the completion of the MSYSA Grassroots courses ($25+ per course) for the age group in which you are volunteering to coach. The courses may be completed in person or online.
  • Required coaching gear and coaching attire (shirt) provided by CSA
  • Medical, dental, and liability insurance are provided through the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association at no cost.
  • Mentoring and curriculum to follow for coaching support, including USSF-recommended coaching techniques by age group.
  • Free or discounted attendance to the United States Soccer Coaches convention.

IMPORTANT: You are entitled to a refund of ONE player registration fee per team coached if you have completed a valid age-appropriate course before the first game; please contact recadoc@calvertsoccer.org with a copy of your age-appropriate Grassroots Course Certificate.

Steps to receive one free player registration fee:

1) Register your player and complete waivers. Do not pay the registration fee.

2) Register to coach via CSA website Become A Coach
